“A see-through top? Everyone will see everything.” It's the first thing that comes to mind, and you're right to ask: we've all ordered a light top that turned out to be sheer when nothing said so. Here, we're telling you before you buy.
The sheerness is intentional, and it has a job. The Celeste is a layering piece: you wear it over a sports bra or a tank, and its light fabric lets it show through softly rather than putting it on display. The crossed drape in front dresses up the neckline, and the fluid fabric moves with you without restricting you.
What it does, and what it doesn't. Pilates, yoga, stretching, dance, or thrown over your outfit on the way out of the studio: it adds lightness and polish. We'd rather be upfront: it is not opaque and it offers no support. It isn't meant to be worn on its own; what you wear underneath does that job.
For the drape to fall right, it all comes down to size. Too small, and the crossover pulls across your chest and loses its flow. Our tops run small: go by your bust measurement, keeping in mind the bra you'll wear underneath, and if you're between sizes, size up. The quiz below gives you yours in 30 seconds.
