This Privacy Policy explains how MLP ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses and shares your personal information when you visit mlpactivewear.com (the "Site"), buy from us, sign up for our emails or texts, or contact us. By using the Site, you acknowledge this Privacy Policy.

1. Information we collect

  • Identifiers and contact details: name, email address, phone number, shipping and billing address.
  • Order information: products purchased, order amounts, returns and exchanges. Payments are handled by our payment processors; we never see or store your full card number.
  • Account and preferences: your account details, sizes and your email and text preferences.
  • Device and browsing information: IP address, approximate location, device and browser type, pages viewed, products added to cart, and how you arrived on the Site, collected through cookies, pixels and similar technologies.
  • Communications: the content of your messages, reviews and survey answers.

We collect this information directly from you, automatically when you use the Site, and from our service providers (for example our e-commerce platform, payment processors and advertising partners).

2. How we use it

  • To process, ship and track your orders, and to handle returns, exchanges and refunds.
  • To provide customer support and answer your questions.
  • To send you news, offers and reminders (such as items left in your cart) if you agreed to receive them.
  • To show you relevant ads on other websites and social networks and measure their performance.
  • To understand how the Site is used and improve it.
  • To prevent fraud, secure the Site and comply with our legal obligations.

3. Who we share it with

  • Service providers who help us run the store: e-commerce platform (Shopify), payment processors, shipping and fulfillment partners, email and text messaging tools, customer support and review tools. They may use your information only to provide their services to us.
  • Advertising and analytics partners (such as Meta) through cookies and pixels on the Site, to show you relevant ads and measure them.
  • Legal and safety: when required by law, or to protect our rights, our customers or others.
  • Business transfers: in connection with a merger, sale or reorganization of our business.

We do not sell your personal information for money. However, sharing information with advertising partners through cookies and pixels may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" for targeted advertising under some U.S. state laws. You can opt out at any time on our Your Privacy Choices page. We also honor the Global Privacy Control signal: if your browser sends it, we treat it as an opt-out request for that browser. Other than Global Privacy Control, we do not currently respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals.

4. Our relationship with Shopify

Our store is hosted by Shopify, which collects and processes personal information about your access to and use of the Site in order to provide and improve its services. Shopify may also use information from your interactions with our store, with other merchants and with Shopify to provide enhanced features; for those uses, Shopify is responsible for your information. 5. Third-party websites

The Site may link to websites and social networks run by others. We are not responsible for their privacy or security practices; please read their own policies. Information you post in public spaces, such as reviews or social media, may be seen by others.

6. Text messages (SMS)

If you sign up for our text messages, you agree to receive recurring automated marketing texts at the number provided. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe or HELP for help. Mobile phone numbers and text messaging consent are never shared with or sold to third parties for their own marketing purposes.

7. Emails

You can unsubscribe from our marketing emails at any time with the link at the bottom of every email. We will still send you emails about your orders.

8. Cookies

We and our partners use cookies to keep your cart, remember your preferences, understand how the Site is used and show you relevant ads. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some parts of the Site may then not work properly.

9. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live (including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas, Oregon and other U.S. states), you may have the right to:

  • know what personal information we collect, use and share, and get a copy of it in a portable format;
  • correct inaccurate information;
  • delete your information;
  • opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your information and of targeted advertising;
  • appeal our decision if we decline your request.

We will verify your identity by matching information you provide with what we hold, and respond within the time required by law (45 days in most states). You may use an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf; we may ask for proof of authorization. To appeal a decision, reply to our answer with the subject "Appeal". We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

We do not use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you.

10. How long we keep it

  • Order and payment records: as long as required for accounting, tax and legal purposes (generally up to 10 years).
  • Marketing data: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.
  • Browsing data: generally up to 2 years.
  • Customer service messages: up to 3 years after our last exchange.

11. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission over the internet or of storage is completely secure.

12. International transfers

Our service providers may process your information in countries other than the one where you live. When they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards to protect it.

13. Children

The Site is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect, sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
